Sharlene Greene
Founder, President & CEO
Sharlene Greene is the founder and president of We Are RISING. It is her vision and desire to partner with African community-based non-profit organizations who, at a grassroots level, are providing for the basic needs, education, infrastructure, income generating endeavors and skills training of orphans and other underprivileged children. She maintains relationships with partners, tours partner sites to understand issues and culture, develops vision minded strategic plans and fundraising for the organization. Sharlene has a Masters Degree in International Community Development from Northwest University. She lives in Lake Stevens WA with her husband Aaron. They raised four daughters and have 7 grandchildren!
Mechelle Allen
Vice President &
Director of Media/Communications
Mechelle Allen has a heart for children, especially those who have endured trauma in their young lives. She is an ordained minister who has worked in ministry for more than thirty years in her local church as a TV producer and a Children's Pastor. Mechelle has a degree in Human Services, Communications and is working on her Divinity degree. She facilitates events, produces website and social media content, print, video and other promotional material and activities. She has toured partner sites and shared her story of survival through times of extreme trauma as a young person.
Norman Allen
Treasurer & Accountant
Norman Allen has a heart for technology. He works as a Maintenance Operations Manager. He has a degree in Business Administration. In We Are R.I.S.I.N.G., he manages the financial systems, processes, budget, and advises on funding decisions.

Norman and Mechelle Allen live in Marysville WA. They raised three daughters and have four granddaughters.
